At Barton Insurance Brokers, we know how powerful word-of-mouth is, and we are grateful when our clients recommend us to their friends/family members or businesspeople. As a token of our gratitude, we’re introducing the Barton Rewards Program – a referral scheme that allows us to reward clients for endorsing our products and services.

 

How it Works:

Refer us to a friend/family member/businessperson and we’ll reward you with R200 per referral. If the individual/business becomes a Barton client, you’ll also receive a cashback reward equal to 50% of their first premium payment.

 

How to Participate in the Referral Program:

  • Recommend Barton Insurance Brokers to a friend/family member/businessperson and obtain their permission to allow us to contact them for a no-obligation, competitive Motor & Home and/or Business Insurance quote.
  • Fill out our Referral Form online. 
  • We’ll then contact you to confirm that your referral has qualified for the program and your R200 fee will be paid into the same bank account that your insurance premium is debited from.
  • If the individual/business you have referred to us, becomes a Barton Insurance Brokers client, we will also pay you 50% of their first premium received in the following month. 

 

How does a referral qualify for the program:

  • The person that you refer to us must give you their permission to share their personal contact information with us
  • The person must legitimately be interested in a Motor & Home and/or Business insurance quotation
  • The person must provide us with the opportunity to do an obligation free quotation for them and allow us to present the quotation(s) to them
  • Only once a quotation has been completed and presented in discussion with the referred person, shall that referral be deemed to qualify for the program

 

Terms and Conditions:

 

Definitions and Interpretation:

In the Barton Reward Program Terms and Conditions, the following words shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them:

 

“Policyholder” means an individual who is currently a Barton Insurance Broker client and policyholder.

 

“Program” means the Barton Reward Program.

 

“Barton” means Barton Insurance Brokers.

 

“Referrer” means a policyholder who voluntarily participates in the Rewards Program by referring friends/family members/colleagues/associates/businesspeople to become Referees.

 

“Referee” means a person who is not an existing Policyholder of Barton Insurance Brokers and who has given his/her permission to be contacted by Barton and whom the Referrer has referred through the Program. The Referee may be an individual who is authorised to represent/act on behalf of a business.

 

“Reward” means the monetary reward paid to the Referrer by Barton Insurance Brokers.

 

“Referral Reward” means a R200 reward paid to the Referrer by Barton Insurance Brokers for a valid referral.

 

“Cashback Reward” means a reward paid to the Referrer by Barton Insurance Brokers for a successful referral wherein the Referee becomes a Barton policyholder. The Cashback Reward shall be equal to 50% of the first month’s premium payment of the Referee’s policy.

 

Period of Validity:

This Program is valid from 1 January 2023 until 30 September 2023. Any referrals made after this date will not be eligible for a reward under this Program.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The Referrer must be a Barton Insurance Brokers Policyholder and be up to date with their monthly policy premium payments.
  • The Program is not applicable to current Policyholders wanting to take out a new insurance policy under their own name.

 

Referrer Responsibilities

  • The Referrer must obtain permission from the Referee to pass on their personal information to Barton, for the purpose of being contacted for a Motor & Home and/or Business Insurance quotation.
  • On completion of the Referral Form, the Referrer takes full responsibility for sharing the Referee’s personal information with Barton.

 

Referral Criteria:

  • In order for the Referrer to qualify for the Referral Reward, the referral must be determined to be valid by Barton Insurance Brokers. 
    • The Referee must consent to be contacted by Barton Insurance Brokers.
    • The Referee must genuinely be receptive to and interested in obtaining a Motor & Home and/or Buisness Insurance quote from Barton Insurance Brokers.

 

Disqualification from Program

 

  • Barton reserves the right to cancel a Referral Reward or Cashback Reward if;
    • the Referrer has not complied with these Terms and Conditions,
    • the Referee is discovered to have colluded with the Referrer for the purpose of monetary gain,
    • the Referrer has misrepresented themself, their intentions or any details of the Referee,
    • the Referee has misrepresented themself, their intentions or any details of the Referrer,
    • in the event that Barton suspects any suspicious activity related to the Referral Program by the Referrer or Referee.

 

Limitations

  • The R200 Referral Reward is not limited and a Referrer is able to receive unlimited Referral Rewards, providing that the referrals are found to be valid by Barton.
  • Referrers may receive unlimited Cashback Rewards, provided that the full eligibility, responsibilities and criteria listed above, have been met.

 

Rewards Payments

  • The Referral Reward will be paid to the Referrer at the end of the following month in which Barton obtained the referral and contacted the Referee for a Motor & Home and/or Business insurance quote.
  • The Cashback Reward will be paid to the Referrer at the end of the month in which the first policy premium payment is made by the Referee on their new policy.
  • Multiple Referral Rewards and Cashback Rewards will be made in one payment as per above.
